EARLY CAREER SOLICITOR – PRIVATE CLIENT
Join a progressive and expanding practice in Leeds to focus on a wide ranging private client portfolio with particular emphasis on trusts & tax.
You’ll cover a mixture of contentious and non contentious cases. Our client expects developed expertise in the appropriate areas and especially hopes you’ll be happy to use your experience – or be keen to train – in contentious probate & trusts. Ideally you’ll be working towards becoming a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners if not already accepted.

CLINICAL NEGLIGENCE – SOLICITOR
A rewarding opening within a specialist in-house team investigating and assess the merits of claims on behalf of a professional body.
You’ll manage a substantial caseload of UK claims at various stages of development, investigating them in their entirety and provide effective proposals to move claims to resolution. Naturally there will be substantial contact with members, external lawyers and third parties. Some aspects of the role will involve international claims.
You’ll be a qualified solicitor with experience of defendant litigation, preferably in personal injury or clinical negligence. Our clients need a lawyer who will take a proactive and strategic approach to claims management, whilst at the same time understanding the key importance of accurate claims estimates and data. Clearly good communications and lucid negotiation will be key parts of the job.

SOLICITOR – REAL ESTATE
An interesting opening to join a leading planning team which has been involved in some of the largest urban and regeneration projects in the country.
Your role will be to provide legal advice on town and country planning issues including major infrastructure projects, planning/highways agreements, planning enforcement, listed buildings, urban regeneration projects and advocacy at public inquiries. Compulsory purchase experience, whilst not essential, would also be appreciated.
You will probably have three years or more PQE in planning although this is not set in stone and our clients will be happy to talk to candidates who have appropriate knowledge they need. Naturally you will be a problem solver and have lucid style of communication when talking to colleagues and third parties.

LEGAL SECRETARY – LITIGATION
A super opportunity for a legal secretary to join a medium sized law firm in Leeds city centre. Due to expansion this is a new position based within property litigation.

You will assist with all aspects of costs work including the preparation of points of dispute, points of reply, bills of costs and scheduling as well as negotiating and attending detailed assessments.
You’re a Costs Drafter who has honed his or her negotiating skills and is keen and enthusiastic with the knowledge to ensure suitable systems are in place for the speedy recovery of legal costs within Claimant PI teams. LEGAL SECRETARY – SPECIALIST INSURANCE DEPARTMENT
A significant opening in a well known, expanding practice in Manchester city centre.
You will become an important part of the Claims Solutions team which advises insurers on major accidents & liabilities and fraudulent claims, Clearly a very interesting department.
Essentially you will provide secretarial support to a small team of fee earners – preparing client reports and related correspondence, operating the case management system, managing diaries and travel, and organising client events as required. The emphasis is certainly on organisational matters rather than routine typing.

LITIGATION EXECUTIVE – CLAIMANT PERSONAL INJURY

You will run a caseload of personal injury litigation matters on behalf of individual clients and claims from institutional referrers.
